Boarding the social media bandwagon
As social media swe­eps its wings across the consumer marketers, business-to-business marketers (B2B) are slowly boarding the plane. Twitter was the last social media to be embraced by them and they are not too sure about the power of 140 characters.

Forrester Research reports about a quantum jump in B2B spending in social media by 2014. Clearly interactive marketing is big bucks for B2B and social media will make a lot of sense in this large plan. Social media is emerging as key channel to have a dialogue with decision makers during the sales process and to interact and support existing customers. According to another research, worldwide many companies have allocated considerable part of their marketing budgets for digital activities. While overall spending by B2B is unlikely to increase in 2012 or 2013, the increase will be very evident in digital media spends.
